Christian High Band

The Christian High School Patriot Band attended three competitions in October and have won a variety of awards. The Patriot Band attended the Maytime Band Review and won 2nd place in both colorguard and in marching, almost surpassing Olympian High School’s massive marching band “about the size of the sophomore class” says Jessica Hom, the drum major for the Christian High School Band.

A week after the Maytime Band Review, the Patriot Band attended the San Ysidro Field Tournament, where bands competed and displayed their field shows, winning 2nd place in division with “The Incredibles” against Otay Lakes High School’s marching band. The next week, they competed at the Poway Field Tournament and received 5th place.

The band of 26 members will be performing in the Mother Goose Parade on November 18th, The Christmas Parade in Coronado on December 1st, and the Chula Vista Band Review and field tournament on November 11. The marching band continues to be successful this year with their many accomplishments.
